Senapati, September 20 (MExN): In regard to the dismantling of “illegal house structures” at the dispute land area on September 17, the Northern Maram People’s Organization (NMPO) in a press release stated that it has become necessary to clear the “fake report” doing the rounds in social media and the most ‘exaggerated’ press release in the name of Makhan Union.
The Publicity Wing of NMPO stated that the report to portray that members of those “illegal house structures” were purportedly locked from outside before demolishing the structures with the intention to burn alive is “totally misleading, mischievous and blowing out of proportion far from any reality.”
They clarified that “before the action on dismantling begins, all inmates were alerted, informed and later those 2 or 3 individuals inside were pushed out of the structures to ensure no one is caused injury arising out of the acts.”
The Organisation stated that the specific purpose of the action to dismantle and evict those “illegal structures” at the dispute land was clear but not to cost lost of lives be it the inmates or their livestock. “Or else, the actual result after the action would have been otherwise,” it added.
On another part of the contents of its reports to misguide the public that prior to the incident, indiscriminate firing took place, this ‘illusion’ surely must be the imagination of their June 23, 2014, attacked to Naojai Village with over 100 persons dressed in camouflage with sophisticated weapons inflicting two persons with bullets, ransacking and torturing of 8 houses including Church of the village and later their ‘cartridges’ were handed over to the SDO official concern who came to inspect after the incident.
