Kohima, August 6 (MExN): Nagaland Medical Students' Union Bihar (NMSUB) held its 4th annual general conference from August 4 to 5.
During the conference, the Union visited Aixin Educational Centre, run by a Naga family in Patna, Bihar.
The education centre 'Aixin' which its name derived from a Chinese word meaning "Love or compassion" was founded by Watikumla Lemtor and Longzochang Imchen in the year 2014 under the aegis "Youth With a Mission" to provide schooling to those children who are denied of their rights to education because of social and economic status.
At present, there are 53 students doing their pre-schooling along with 6 teaching staff and Watikumla Lemtor.
The visit was led by Longzochang Imchen and the team comprising of 3 specialist doctors, 1 intern and 20 medical students.
The team also distributed stationeries and food packets and had an interactive session with the pupils.
