Technicolors performing at the ‘Live Musical Jam’ on the New Year’s Eve at New Market in Kohima.
Kohima, January 2 (MExN): New Market Youth Organization (NMYO) presented ‘Live Musical Jam’ where various artistes from in and around Kohima performed on New Year’s Eve at Bazaar at New Market colony in Kohima.
A press release from the organisation stated that as NMYO prepared the stage for an evening extravaganza, a host of singers from the colony performed at the event that featured singers and rappers from renowned group Table 3, Technicolors, finalist of 2014 edition of the Hornbill International Rock Contest and other individual artistes.
Female bigboxer Zhovinuo Kire, Faction Girls, Dancing Angels and Winter Carol also enthralled a packed crowd at the venue.
Speaking during the event, Ruokuobeizo Nyusou, chairman of New Market Panchayat expressed happiness and exalted the artistes for making the evening a memorable one. Nyusou also acknowledged all the supporters and artistes who came to New Market and hoped that they had a pleasant time too along with the crowd.
The mini-concert is annually organised during the New Year’s Eve as part of NMYO yearly activities.
“The main motive and objective behind organising such an event was to give a platform in order to uplift the budding talents of the colony and encourage them,” said Neitho Solo, NMYO vice-president. Meanwhile, upcoming bands and other artistes from within Kohima are also pitched in to perform where adults and children pour in to witness the show, Neitho added.
The event was anchored by Vikholie Yiese, NMYO president while Chairman of New Market, former president NMYO Neitho Kuotsu and others gave away certificates of appreciation and cash awards to participants.
