Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): Thomas W Shapwon, Joint Secretary of the Naga National Council (NNC), expressed sorrow at the passing of K Lasuh, who breathed his last at his residence in Zuphiu Kung, Khamti Town. He was 71.
In a tribute, Shapwon recounted that Lasuh joined the Naga national service in 1983. In 1985, he was dispatched to Kachinland as a foreign secretary alongside Thepusui Kayho with the objective of proceeding to China. The mission, however, was unsuccessful and Lasuh returned home in July 1989. During his time in the Eastern part of Nagaland, Lasuh was known for aiding many people suffering from various illnesses, often acting in a medical capacity.
Shapwon highlighted that Lasuh's ‘strong spirit to serve for the Naga nation never died down till his last breath.’ He added that Lasuh's ‘good faith to serve our Naga nation will remain forever as a good example for the Naga generations to come.’ Shapwon extended his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for divine solace and comfort.
