The NNC must make it very clear once again that India is never an integral part of Nagaland, nor Nagaland is an integral part of India. The clear political history of Nagaland with 100% democratic right stood and struggled with time tested for the last more than 60 long years for recognition of the Naga people and Burma (Myanmmar) in particular and the community 0f nation. As they know very well about the longest political struggle of the Nagas for freedom in the south-east Asian region.
The Nagas have every right to tell the outside world about the plight of the Nagas was we have been oppressed and suppressed politically for so long that the NNC appeal the community of nations in particular to speak out officially and recognize the political rights of the Naga people for sovereignty as the world recognize very well about Nagaland and its peoples’ right for freedom.
Therefore, the imposition o f Indian election in Nagaland by the Govt. of India is in complete violation of the Naga peoples’ rights and the International human rights.
Therefore, the NNC seriously appeals the international community of nations and the UN in particular to intervene in this serious problem in Nagaland for lasting peace in the region.
If the NNC appeals all those Nagas who are spending to come forward for the real political freedom of the Nagas in the manner to change the political scenario in Nagaland for the benefit of all the Naga people as a whole.
The outcome, otherwise, might be undesirable for the common good.
We the undersigned are some of the senior most NNC members in the Naga homeland issue this political statement of appeal on behalf of the Naga people.
