Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Central office and the Regional Council (host) have decided to have the general meeting of the Naga National Council (Parent Body) on June 2. Therefore, all the regional councils, sub-regional councils, Naga women federation, senior leaders, executive council members and all the Central Leaders have requested to attend “this important general meeting” as mentioned.
Informing this in a press release, the Information & Publicity Wing, NNC (Parent Body) said that under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, Zhiongba Yimkhiung and V Nagi, as announced already in March 2023 that the NNC (Parent Body) would conduct a general meeting to elect leaders for the next term of office and also to deliberate important issues relating to peace and unity and political solution in the Homeland.
The imposition of a state election without a solution and the recent issue of the ethnic political situation in Manipur which also affected their immediate neighbours have caused the delay for the general meeting as such, it stated.
Meanwhile, the concerned region, sub-regions and all other officials have been asked to contact central office for further necessary information regarding the general meeting.
