The Naga National Council (NNC) of the Lotha Region, represented by the NNC Parent Body led by Yillow Humtsoe, and the Naga National Council under Thenosile M. Kiho, have unanimously resolved to work together under a unified umbrella to address the Naga political issue. This decision was made on September 4 at a meeting held at the Tourist Lodge in Wokha.
The meeting resulted in a commitment to collaboratively pursue their objectives based on the principles outlined in the 1929 Simon Commission, the May 16, 1951 plebiscite, and the August 14, 1947 Naga independence declaration for Naga sovereignty. The joint group has also issued an appeal to other sovereignty-supporting factions to unite in the pursuit of Naga national rights.
