Kohima, August 16 (MExN): The NNC Parent Body (PB) objections on the vindictive and misleading news item published on August 6 in The Morung Express under the heading ‘FGN release list of Naga Political Group.’ In a rejoinder, issued by the MIP NNC (PB) it stated that the news item “is marred by error and some NPG’s names were intentionally or inadvertently omitted with intention to mislead the public.”
Citing examples, it stated that ‘Yilow Humtsoe is the president NNC and Nagi Angami is the General Secretary and not as published as heads of different NPGs; NNC Parent Body (PB) under President SS Pongkhu Naga and Francis Kikon as General Secretary was omitted; RM Lotha is the President of NSCN (U) under Kitovi; Nokpao is the President of NSCN (U) where Alezo is the General Secretary.’ “Likewise the news item is filled with errors,” it reiterated.
“It is pertinent to note that the NNC Parent Body under President SS Pongkhu Naga was formed after impeachment of NNC Parent Body Z Royim who is a Gaonbura (G.B) of Sangpur Village under Shamator District,” it stated. “On this issue, previously Z Royim was appointed in good faith without verifying his position as a GB in the village which is against the National Azha, along with him Akiuba Yim was also expelled in violation of the National Azha,” it reported.
Further, the NNC Parent Body (PB) under the leadership of SS Pongkhu Naga (President) and Francis Kikon as General Secretary “urged upon all government department and business establishment to extend their unconditional support.”
