Dimapur, July 13 (MExN): The Yimkhiung Regional Council (Yimkhiung Region), NNC (Parent Body) has issued a clarification regarding the Naga National Council (Parent Body) nomenclature being claimed by Z Royim Yimkhiung “who was condemned and expelled by the NNC (Parent Body) Central, which is the NNC Body as a whole in 2018.”
The Ahoshe Yimkhiung, President, Yimkhiung Regional Council (Yimkhiung Region), NNC (Parent Body) and Shito Yimkhiung, Midan Peyu, Yimkhiung Region, NNC (Parent Body) in a press release stated that Royim’s “one-time Acting Presidentship was also strongly condemned by the Yimkhiung Regional Council because of his betrayal which is well known to the Naga people.”
It stated, “Just last year he was again condemned and expelled as he worked with some groups, and most recently this year for the third time he was condemned and expelled again by his workers.”
Therefore, the Yimkhiung Regional Council, NNC (Parent Body) reiterated that “Z Royim Yimkhiung who is from the Yimkhiung community is no longer a part of the NNC (Parent Body), and hence, should be shameful to claim the nomenclature of the NNC Parent Body. He should refrain from doing so and not confuse the people and region in particular.”
The press release alleged that “Z Royim has a record of being condemned and expelled several times by the National workers and the Region, therefore, he must remain silent and not create further confusion in the Naga Homeland before the Region reveals more ugly history. It will be best for him to lead a peaceful life at this very old age.”
