Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body), under the leadership of Yilow Humtsoe, the “Political Institution of the Naga people,” today welcomed all foreign dignitaries, delegates, and tourists from all over the world and India who have come to the Naga Homeland to participate in the Hornbill Festival.
“On behalf of the NNC (Parent Body) and the Nagas in general, I wish all those in the Naga Homeland during this festive season of Hornbill and Christmas a very happy and memorable stay,” conveyed a message received here from Humtsoe.
He also highlighted that the Naga people’s “struggle for freedom and recognition has been ongoing for more than seven long decades now.”
In this connection, as President of the NNC (Parent Body), he appealed “to all the countries of the world to support the Naga political cause for freedom.”
“Our plight and suffering have yet to be settled peacefully and politically for peace and tranquility in the region,” he added.
