NNC raises questions

Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): Chakhesang region of the NNC today raised “certain issues” over NSCN/GPRN general sectary Th. Muivah’s recent statements “admitting” that NNC “is the right political  institution” and AZ Phizo “the right leader.” “And if Mr. Muivah is sincerely admitting that the Nagas survived politically because of the NNC, why, or what was the necessity to impose on the Nagas another political institution, i.e. the NSCN/GPRN with alien ideology quite incompatible with the Naga social and political way of life?” queried a note from  the NNC. The note was appended by Chakhesang regional council’s president Vekronu Dozo. Th. Muivah has often stated that the Shillong Accord of  1975 was “a total sell out of Naga political rights which was also solely responsible for creating the political differences,” the note said. “If that was so, why Mr. Venyiyi Rhakhu, Tatar FGN, the only representative who refused to sign the Shillong Accord, Mr. T. Venuh, vice president NNC, lieut. col. Vesazo Khamo, Naga  army and other Naga leaders who all out rightly condemned the Shillong Accord were  eliminated?”
