Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): Yezutu (B) Village Students Union [Y (B) (VSU)] has strongly condemned the “inhuman act” of “NNC (accordist)”, who abducted late Ameto A Awomi on June 4 and was “merciless murdered.”
The Union in a condemnation note issued by its President John Khekuto and General Secretary Vihokhe Yeptho has demanded the NNC (Accordist) to clarify whether it was an order from the NNC to murder late Ameto or it was in the personal hand of those culprits. Moreover, it claimed that Phutoi Zhimomi deputy kilonser has admitted that the NNC government has issued no order in arresting or killing late Ameto. It has questioned why the body of late Ameto was not handed over to family members or villagers. NNC should take a befitting action against the erring officers or cadets publicly the union said while adding that concerned citizens cannot co-operate with the NNC Government unless the matter is sort out amicably. Therefore, the Y (B) VSU has demanded Atoka Sumi Median Pieu, NNC Sumi region of Hoishe Village and Ilhovi Sumi Leacy Speaker, Sumi region of Tukunasa Village to clarify their point in apprehending the culprits within one wee.
Furthermore, it added that freedom fighters are not who abducts and murders their own brothers but to fight for the nation. It The Union also appeals to the concern authority not to entertain anyone in bailing out the suspect but to give befitting punishment accordingly to the law. Meanwhile, the Union has prayed to Almighty God for a departed soul of Ameto, who was an executive member of Y(B) VSU as the Assistant Game Secretary, for his eternal rest in peace.
