Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): The Naga National Council, Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN) under its Kedahge (President) Brigadier (Retired) S Singnya has welcomed the rejoining of 5 members to the government.
The rejoining members include Vice President Bendang Sangtam, Joint Secretary Atingba Sangtam, Tsapichum,Albert and Tsasepa.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Rali Wali, FGN, they had earlier “defected to Zhopra Vero's self-styled group without proper knowledge/communication gap.”
The NNC/FGN commended their decision to return, calling it a wise choice taken at their “own volition.”
The statement further claimed that the Vero-led group had “no political vision for the Nagas” and that the rejoining members had pledged allegiance to Singnya “with full conviction.”
As part of this development, the Vice President also declared that the press statement issued on October 29, which endorsed the impeachment of Singnya as Kedahge, is now withdrawn and deemed "null and void," the release stated.
Additionally, he appended his signature to the press statement issued on October 31, which refuted the NNC endorsement of Singnya’s impeachment, it added.
