Dimapur, December 7 (MExN): The Naga National Council Parent Body, Zeliangrong-Region (Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland) has appealed to all the Naga National workers of various factions to desist from the factional clash and shun bloodshed, violence and factional killing in the interest of the Naga people yearning for peaceful living.
A statement issued by MIP urged the Naga revolutionary groups operating in the Zeliangrong territory to maintain a peaceful environment and to co-exist in mutual understanding as brothers and sisters. The statement also stated that “any misunderstanding between the different groups of National workers must be sorted out in the interest of the Naga people at large as hatred, jealousy, and enmity has no place in peaceful society.”
The NNC, Zeliangrong-Region expressed support to the ongoing 6 NNPGs Working Committee leaders negotiating with Government of India (GoI). The statement also endorsed the collective leadership of NNC-Parent Body, President Z RoyimYimchunger, also Working Committee Co-convener and executive member NNC Parent Body Toshi Wallling, and Working Committee member and Zeliangrong-Region General Secretary Liangkebo under whose leadership the region have faith and confidence to work for Nagas since they represents the Naga in the peace talks with GoI under the collective leadership of N KitoviZhimomi as Convener of Working Committee.
The NNC Parent Body, Zeliangrong-Region also extended Christmas and New Year greetings.
