
Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): The NNC/FGN concluded its 68th Tatar Hoho in Dimapur on March 5 and re-elected Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya and Zhopra Vero as the Kedahge and the Kedallo respectively.
A press statement from its Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs stated that elections were held for the post of the Kedahge and the Kedallo of the FGN as well as the Speaker of the Tatar Hoho. Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya and Zhopra Vero were unanimously re-elected as the Kedahge and the Kedallo of the Federal Government of Nagaland respectively and Rukulhu Phuswuo was elected as the Speaker of the Tatar Hoho, the statement read. It also said that a new Council of Kilonsers was formed and the new Kilonsers as well as the Tatar Hoho were sworn in, in the presence of the NNC and the Naga Army representatives.
During the Tatar Hoho, the NNC/FGN reaffirmed its resolution to support to the ongoing talks between the Government of India and the Working Committee (WC), Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs), the release stated.
The Tatar Hoho also resolved that Zhopra Vero, Kedallo FGN and P Puthai Lam, Killo Kilonser, FGN, shall continue to represent the NNC/FGN as part of the NNPGs in the ongoing talks. Further, it said that the NNC/FGN “shall endeavor to build better understanding and relationship with the NGOs and civil societies and work closely with them for the greater interest of the Naga people.”
