
Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Chakhesang Region National Workers of NNC/FGN has affirmed to stand in solidarity for the national cause under the leadership of Gen (Retd) Thinoselie M Keyho, President of NNC and Namrikiu, Kedahge of FGN with the “support of the public who are the real owners of our nation.”
The affirmation was among host of decisions taken during a consultative meeting of Chakhesang Region National Workers in the NNC/FGN, convened by the FGN’s Midan Peyu of the Region, Serapra Shijo in Runguzu Nasa on October 13.
A press release from Speaker, Leacy Hoho, FGN Chakhesang Region informed that Razu Peyus, Sub-Regional Presidents, Chakhesang Women Society Executives, besides Chakhesang Regional authorities, the Rank and file of Naga Army under 13th BN,14th BN and 15th BN under 5 Brigade of Southern Command of Naga Army and FGN Central authorities from Chakhesang Region attended the “crucial” meeting.
A host of public and church leaders were present to express solidarity with the Region and National Governments, it said.
At the meeting, “much needed clarification statements were produced in respect of the recently disturbing and confusing developments in Chakhesang Region,” it informed.
Thereafter, the meeting condemned the “so-called Emergency Tatar Hoho or the Joint executive meeting of NNC/FGN convened by expelled former Speaker of Tatar Hoho Kunuchosa Rhakho and conducted at K Basa Village unconstitutionally” on September 23, it added.
“Despite lacking any credence, it had regrettably created public confusion and undesirable damage to the image of the NICC/FGN in the eye of our enemies,” the release stated.
The Chakhesang Region National Workers also declared that they “have nothing to do with that bunch of expelled National Workers from the NNC/FGN for their treachery and in being misguided by some persons from Shisha Hoho Prayer group,” it added.
Meanwhile, the Region expressed its gratitude to the village council chairman and members, church leaders, women society and youth society of Runguzu Nasa for their selfless service towards successful conduct of the meeting.
