DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 13 (MExN): The NNC/FGN Chakhesang Region, Naga Army and NNC representatives held a meeting on November 9 where it resolved to support and remain committed to the declaration of Independence of August 14 and the Plebiscite of May 16, 1951.
A declaration of support issued by Sekuto Shihoh, Midan Peyu; Chekhüsü Veswüh, Regional President and Maj Gen Nusuyi Neinu, GOC S/C Naga Army stated that the Chakhesang Region also unanimously resolved to support the NNC/FGN headed under the leadership of Kedahge Zhopra Vero and Kedallo Hekhuvi Achumi.
“The Chakhesang Region stands united and committed to strengthen the NNC/FGN and the legitimacy of the leadership and the government which was constituted as per the laid down rules of the Yezhabo of Nagaland.
Further, the resolution has been adopted and declared to augment and strengthen the decision of the venerable President and Vice President of NNC Senka Ao and Bendang Sangtam,” the declaration read.
