Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The Working Committee (WC) of the NNPGs today has admitted that the “contours of the political dialogue” between the Government of India and the WC, NNPGs has “become more pronounced.”
Under these circumstances, it has ‘discarded’ the press release by an “anonymous fellow” in the name of the NNC (Parent Body) which, the WC stated in a press release today, “reflects mischief and isolated mindset.”
Further, the press release from the WC Media Cell reiterated that “Z Royim Yimchunger is a proven nationalist. He is the president of NNC (PB) and therefore as appealed by the WC, he exercised the power and authority derived from NNC Yehzabo, and replaced V Nagi with Toshi Walling as Co-Convener in the WC.”
It maintained that “The leadership of Z Royim and NNC (PB) is equally important and WC do not and cannot recognize imposters and outcasts. If Z Royim Yimchungru is a GB or a member in any social order, it means he is a people's leader, recognized and accepted at a grassroots level as in the Naga national service.”
Maintaining that the elements who have “thrown the last dice in the name of the NNC (PB)” have “failed themselves,” the WC Media Cell stated that “Dubious characters accusing NNC (PB) President Z Royim Yimchunger, owing to their selfish and destructive nature, will struggle to get into village council as members, let alone becoming GBs.”
