NNPSGSEF restructures central executive team

DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): The Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) has announced a restructuring of its Central Core Executive team to strengthen its ongoing campaign to scrap the National Pension System (NPS) and restore the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).

The decision was made during a meeting held on June 3, 2025, led by outgoing president Moanungsang Jamir. Describing the restructuring as a progressive step, Jamir said the move aligns with the original intent behind the Forum’s formation in 2022 — to advocate for the restoration of OPS for government employees.

Members present at the meeting agreed that the Forum required a more robust team with effective strategies to push its objective forward. The newly formed executive team includes Avizo Nienu as President, Jentinochet as Vice President, Imnasenla Pongener as General Secretary, Longshibeni as Assistant General Secretary, Adabe Namgi as Finance Secretary, Theyiesinuo Solo as Assistant Finance Secretary, and Toang Lemanghu as Spokesperson.

Addressing the Forum, Nienu emphasized the importance of a committed and efficient team to achieve meaningful progress. “Though the Forum has been actively working since its inception, the time has come to redouble our efforts with renewed dedication,” he said, while also expressing appreciation to the former leadership for their contributions.
