No ADC since April 2018, irregular power supply: Tening Students Union

Peren, September 24 (MExN): No Additional Deputy Commissioner was appointed for Tening Sub- Division after suspension of former Additional Deputy Commissioner since April this year, Tening Students Union said. The area also faces irregular power supply which has affected institutions, business firms, and many offices.  

Tening Students Union President Ngouphutlakbo Nrak and General Secretary Kswiphibangbo Kambutta, in a press note appealed the government of Nagaland to redress these grievances in the interest of general Public of Tening Sub- Division.  

Apprising that “the suspension of former Additional Deputy Commissioner ADC in the month of April 2018, has not been sent new ADC to Tening headquarter till date,” the union, therefore, pressed the concerned authority for posting of ADC at the earliest.  

Meanwhile, it pointed that the irregularity of power supply has affected institutions, business firms and many offices, the union said “electricity is the basic needs for accessing various media to update knowledge and skill in this competitive junctures and “the general public and the students’ career and academic undertaking have been affected.”  

“Ever since the establishment of the power station at Tening, the office never existed till today which shows the lackadaisical attitude of the Government particularly the power Department,” it stated.  

It further said that no existing office lead public official works to lie neglected and they can never hope to achieve the coordination between the public and the department.  

It, therefore, appealed the concerned department to redress the basic grievances of the area by providing stable power supply and setup the office function at the earliest.
