Kohima, July 10 (DIPR): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has said that there is no backlog of the 5th Pay Commission recommendation. Rio, who holds the Finance portfolio today informed the Nagaland Legislative Assembly at its fourth session that the state government adopted the Central Pay Commission recommendation w.e.f. 1.6.1998, notionally with cash payment w.e.f. 1.4.2000, as per the Nagaland Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1999. All payments falling due under the said Rules have already been paid, Rio said and added that, as such, there is no question of any backlog of 5th Pay Commission recommendation.
