DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The Naga Women Hoho, NGOs, Women SHGs and Legal Consultants have today questioned the security and well being of all minor girls/women in the society. This was taken up during the Joint Consultation held at Naga Women Hoho Office.
The consultation, deliberating on the issue of rape of a minor girl from Grace Colony on May 24, has condemned the act as "heinous crime." The members have appreciated the prompt action of the police in nabbing the culprit.
Responding to the case, the members resolved not to bow to any unjust means to hush up the case, affirmed Watila, President Naga Women Hoho in a release and added, “no party should bring it to compromise without punishing the culprit which is due to him”.
Any individual or party who atempts to side with the culprit would bear the consequences further, warned the members.
The Women Hoho and other members also resolved to follow up the case until due justice is delivered to the victim and due penalty awarded to the culprit stated the release.
