No excess appointment in Edu dept: Angami

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): The Director of School Education, Nipusilie Angami today said that there will be no salary for bogus appointees in the department and added that there is no excess appointment in the department. 

Speaking at the inaugural function of the new DEO office Building here today, Nipusilie Angami said that he has never appointed a teacher without post. He said actually after checking the records, there is found to be shortage not excess of employees. For this he put the blame on the district level officials and said that they never submitted the incumbency list to the department. 

Angami also acknowledged the Nagaland Minister for School Education, Imkong L Imchen for initiating different developmental works in the field of education.

He said that Minister Imkong has initiated various departmental works like upgradation of seven high schools to higher secondary level and added that because of the initiation of the Minister, a new directorate is also coming up. Angami added that even if Minister Imkong do not become a minister in the next tnure, the good works done and initated under his leadership would never be forgotten. 

Coming back to his sub-ordinate colleagues, Angami said that the politicians and policy makers are all out for developments while the departmental staff sits back doing nothing. 

He strongly asked the gathered education department officials whether they are doing their duties or not, when the politicians works non-stop for development. 

In this regard, Angami challenged his sub-ordinates to be more dedicated, responsible and have some obligations towards the society for the development of the society. 

Angami also pointed out the poor performance of the government high schools in the NBSE examinations and at the same time pointed out the falling number of students in the schools. In this regard, Angami categorically pointed out that it was an area of their concern and added that they have to address it.
