No lecturers at Aboi Govt Polytechnic: KSU

Mon, October 12 (MExN): The Konyak Students’ Union on Tuesday voiced resentment over the Higher & Technical Education department’s failure to appoint even a single lecturer at the Government Polytechnic, Aboi under Mon district.

As a result, the classes have not yet started, while such institutes in other districts are functioning in full swing, the KSU stated in a press release. Stating that having an institute without lecturers is equivalent to not having an institution at all, the union said that “no degree of administrative inconveniences should compromise the career of youth and students’ welfare.”

It further urged the concerned department to appoint the required number of teachers at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the union also lamented the absence of some Medical Officers and health staff in the station “even after the order of detachment order has been served by the concerned authority.” The union directed all the absentee officers and staff to report to their respective places of posting within 5 days.
