DIMAPUR, JUNE 5 (MExN): Dimapur Superintendent of Police Bidhu Shekhar today gave a list enumerating the persons who are entitled to use red lights, flags and designation plates on their vehicles. “Several instances have come to light where crimes have been committed by using fake VIP red lights, flags and designation plates in vehicles,” he said in a release.
Mentioning the authorized dignitaries/officials who can use the identification symbols, Shekhar said all others are “directed to remove the same” on or before June 10.
If they do not do so within the stipulated time, “the enforcement agency will seize their vehicles and remove the same from their vehicles and they should not feel bad for the perceived humiliation/embarrassment that may seem to be meted out to them in the process.”

• The Chief Minister
• The Speaker, NLA
• All ministers, Dy Speakers and MLAs
• The Chief Secretary
• The Commissioner
• The Director General of Police
• Principal Secretaries/ Commissioners and Secretaries to the Nagaland Government
• The Judges of High Court
• The Members of Parliament
• The Chairman and members of NPSC
• The Vigilance Commissioner, Nagaland
• The Advocate General
• The Accountant General
• The Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University
• Army/Para military and Police Officers entitled to use regimental flag
• The District Deputy Commissioners
• The District Superintendents of Police
