DIMAPUR, JULY 16 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) has urged the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Nagaland, to ensure full transparency and fairness in the final selection process of the recently concluded Forest Guard recruitment exercise.
“TSUD urge the department to uphold full transparency in the declaration of end results, ensuring that every deserving candidate receives fair and accurate recognition for their performance. Mechanisms for redressal and verification should remain accessible to preserve the integrity of the process,” the union stated in a press release issued on July 16.
It further reiterated its firm opposition to any form of irregularity. “TSUD reiterates its firm opposition to any form of backdoor entry, nepotism, or any form of political favouritism. The Union firmly reiterates its stance against any form of backdoor appointments, nepotism, or political influence in the final selection process. The student body also stressed on collective responsibility in maintaining ethical standards in recruitment. “TSUD stands in companionship with all aspirants and stakeholders who believe in fairness and integrity. It calls upon civil society, various organizations, and concerned authorities to jointly safeguard ethical recruitment standards that empower capable youth to serve in roles of responsibility.”
Reaffirming its long-term commitment, the union said, “The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur remains committed to engaging with governance processes and advocating for fairness, justice, and transparency in all appointments affecting our youth and society at large.”
At the same time, TSUD extended its appreciation to the Department for its handling of the recruitment process so far. “The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) extend its appreciation to the Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of Nagaland, for the successful and disciplined conduct of the recently concluded Forest Guard Written Examination and Physical Walking Test across the state.”
