DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 29 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Town Student’s Union (CTSU) on Thursday stated that the absence of a Sociology subject teacher at the Chümoukedima Government Higher Secondary School was affecting the career of the students.
CTSU in a press release informed that after the transfer of the former Sociology teacher with promotion, the vacancy was yet to be filled. The students union expressed consternation that despite repeated appeal to the concerned authority including the District Education Officer, there has been no response so far.
For the past consecutive years, the school has been producing cent percent result in the HSSLC, also securing Star marks in the subject of sociology. Now, with examination right around the corner, the student union said it is a matter of great concern that a Sociology teacher be posted at the earliest so that the school and students are not deprived of their rights.
