
Kohima, June 14 (MExN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) will be celebrating Olympic Day on the theme ‘#LetsMove’ Learn, Discover, together for a better world at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on June 24.
As part of the event, the following running races will be held; 30 Meters: 4years and above – below 6 years (Born after June 1, 2017); 50 Meters: 6years and above – below 9 years (Born after June 1, 2014); 80 Meters: 9 years and above – below 13 years (Born after June 1, 2010); 100 Meters: 13 years and above – below 16 years (Born after June 1, 2007).
NOA media team in a press release stated that participants will receive their Bib numbers on June 24 between 8:00am-8:30am at the venue, IG Stadium, Kohima. The races will commence from 9:00am onwards, according to the respective categories. Refreshments will be provided to all the participants. All participants have been requested to arrive at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima by 8:00am on June 24.
The registration process is ongoing and open to all young participants aged 4 to 16 years. There is no entry fee, and the last date for registration is June 18.
The NOA has announced that a total cash prize of Rs 50,400 will be awarded to the winners, along with merit certificate from the Nagaland Olympic Association. Each participant will also receive certificate from the International Olympic Committee.
The Cash prize categories are as follows: 1st Prize – Rs 2500; 2nd Prize – Rs 1500; 3rd Prize – Rs 1000; 4th Prize – Rs 800; 5th Prize – Rs 500.

A confirmation call will be sent out to all the participants as a reminder and information of the event on June 23 evening, it stated. Participants who have registered by June 18 are requested to contact the officials for confirmation in case they do not receive a call on June 23.
