
Kohima, June 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) will celebrate Olympic Day on June 23, at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima. The celebration will be held under the global theme, “Move, Learn, Discover – Together for a Better World.”
The main event of the celebration will be the Olympic Day Run, which is a fun and spirited track competition designed for children between the ages of 8 and 12. The initiative aims to promote the Olympic values of movement, learning, and discovery through sport and community engagement.
The Olympic Day Run will include four race categories based on the age of the participants. Children born between June 22, 2015, and June 22, 2016, will compete in the 50-meter race. Children born between June 22, 2014, and June 22, 2015, will participate in an 80-meter race. Another 80-meter race will be held for those born between June 22, 2013, and June 22, 2014. The oldest group, born between June 22, 2012, and June 22, 2013, will compete in the 100-meter race.
The total prize pool for the event will exceed Rs 1 lakh. The reporting time for the event will be 8:00 AM at the venue.
Registration for the event began on May 31, 2025, and will remain open until June 17, 2025. Participants can register online by scanning a QR code provided by the organizers or by accessing links available on the official social media handles of the NOA. Offline registration forms are also available at the NOA Office in Kohima.
