Nobin Thapa represented Nagaland at the ‘I Compete Natural (ICN)’ Fitness Modelling, Bodybuilding, Figure, Physique, Bikini and Fashion events held at Mumbai on November 5 last.
During a press conference today, he informed that in the different categories that were organized as part of the National event, he won the Street Model 3rd runners up and Men Physique 4th runners up.
Thapa said he had competed with more than 60 contestants from all over India after receiving permission from the Nagaland Bodybuilding Association.
Sharing that despite coming from a middle class family and keeping in mind that Body building is an expensive, he had come across many barriers on this way especially financial problems. He however said, it has been out of passion and sheer dedication that throughout his 8 years journey, there has been no stopping for him. The body builder attributes his success to his mother, well wishers and Gorkha community who has constantly intended support through prayer and financially.
Thapa has also participated and won in various national events and particularly Mr Nagaland Top 4 in 2019 and hopes to participate in other competitions too.
