DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): Advisor for Social Welfare, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Noke Wangnao along with department officials called on Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi on October 3.
The Advisor appraised her for central assistance on infrastructure development for child adoption centres, destitute children rehabilitation centre, old age home, etc. in the state. The Union Minister meanwhile reportedly assured to sanction one master plan project for Nagaland state capital. She also advised the state government to send a comprehensive DPR for child adoption centre, destitute children, old age home, molestation or rape victim centre for consideration.
The Advisor also met Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Thaawarchand Gehlot at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, to discuss on the departmental activities and ongoing project in the state.
He requested the Union Minister for more central assistance under his ministry. The Minister said that he would look into the matters shared by the advisor and also assured to provide more central assistance for the state. Gehlot added that he would be visiting the state likely in the month February 2019.
