Noklak district prepares for I-Day celebration

Noklak, August 8 (MExN): A meeting for preparation of Independence Day celebration 2020 was held on August 8 at KTC Hall, DC office complex Noklak which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS. 

A DIPR report stated that work allocations were discussed for the successful conduct of the celebrations including security and co-ordination with regard to Independence Day and general law and order situation in the newly created Noklak district.

Meeting of District Task Force Noklak on COVID-19 was also held where decision was made to initiate steps to be par with other districts and to effectively manage the green zones status of the district.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police, Assam Rifles, Senior Medical Officer, Head of departments, Presidents of Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam, Khiamniungan Students’ Union and Noklak Town Sector Union.

Upon the subsequent upgradation of Noklak ADC Hq to that of a full-fledged District Hq, the Sub-Division Task Force Noklak on COVID-19 has been re-constituted and upgraded as District Task Force Noklak on COVID-19 and  has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS.
