Noklak, May 27 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Noklak District Planning & Development Board was held under the chairmanship of MLA &Chairman Noklak DPDB, P Longon at Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Noklak on May 22.
During the meeting, the house discussed on LADP schemes for both 56th A/C Noklak and 57th A/C Thonoknyu which was approved and to be forwarded to the concerned authority for necessary action. Tanghiu from District Disaster Management Authority proposed the SDRF personnel to be stationed at Noklak Hq and explained the need for SDRG during emergencies, which the house approved to be forwarded to the concerned authority for further action, stated a DIPR report.
Students of Noklak raised various agenda including prohibition of sale of tobacco products, alcohol and other intoxicants near educational institutions, sufficient supply of drinking water at educational institutions and maintenance of road towards the schools. The district administration and concerned departments were entrusted for immediate actions.
The members also discussed on upgradation of Baptist School Thonoknyu from LP School to that of ME School and agreed to forward the matter to School Education department for kind consideration. Kengnyu Village Council proposed for construction of cultural hall at Kengnyu village under Thonoknyu sub-division which the house approved to forward to the Department of Tribal Affairs for consideration. Nukho village submitted for society government registration and Choklangan village society for renewal of society registration which was approved and forwarded to the concern authority for consideration and further action. Further, the house also advised the society members to perform the activities of society continuously and sincerely.
MLA Longon proposed for chopper service twice a week which the members discussed and agreed to forward the matter to the General Manager, Nagaland State Transport for necessary action. He urged the members to regularly attend the meetings and bring their departmental agenda for discussion and implementation.
