
Noklak, September 26 (MExN): The Noklak District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) convened its monthly meeting at the DC conference hall on September 20. It was chaired by P Longon, MLA, and Chairman of DPDB, Noklak, a DIPR report stated.
During the meeting, the DPDB unanimously approved the proposal for the establishment of a Government Primary School at Tukhinkiu village under Thonoknyu Sub-Division, Noklak District.
Recognizing the vital importance of the proposal, the DPDB discussed and approved the need for a polytechnic institution in Noklak.
The need for constructing Sub-Centre buildings in various villages, including Nokyan, Ekhao, Kingpao, Nokhu Noking, Pangking, and Kusong, was brought to the board's attention. CMO also highlighted the importance of resolving land ownership issues for these projects. The DPDB considered and approved the proposal.
Kathyinla, EAC Noklak, presented a proposal received from IDAN on the SFURTI scheme for Noklak District. Under this scheme, a fruits and vegetables cluster will be developed, leading to the marketing of products like juice, dried fruits, flavor jams, jelly, and packaged items.
Recognizing the importance of healthcare services in the block, the DPDB discussed the matter of posting a Medical Officer (MO) at Thonoknyu Primary Health Centre (PHC). The board decided to recommend the immediate posting of an MO to Thonoknyu PHC for the efficient delivery of healthcare services.
This DPDB meeting concluded with a commitment to continued development and progress in Noklak District, with all approved proposals being forwarded to the Government for further action.
