Noklak, August 1 (MExN): The Noklak District Task Force on COVID-19 held a meeting at the DC Conference Hall, Noklak under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru on Monday.
According to an update from the state DIPR, during the meeting, DC Meru highlighted the present status and scenario of COVID-19 in Nagaland. He also shared on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination in the district and emphasised on awareness generation on a mass scale. The DC is also said to have requested all the members to work the extra mile in the fight against COVID-19.
Noklak Chief Medical Officer Dr Victor NC informed the house of the COVID-19 vaccination status in the district. He encouraged the citizens who have Influenza-like illness to come forward for COVID-19 testing, the DIPR update stated. Dr Victor also shared about the Monkeypox pandemic which is spreading at an alarming rate, it said.
The meeting discussed surveying various levels regarding vaccination and other logistics available with the medical department.
