Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): Four unidentified persons, one of them a non-local named Nissan Muna, claiming to be from the “UT1 NSCN (IM)” is alleged to have attempted to kidnap one person from Residency colony. An irate Kutsapo Union of Dimapur today said the four miscreants came to the house of one Shezota Lohe and attempted to force him away in a car, at round 8:30 pm.
According to a note from the Kutsapo Union of Dimapur, the incident happened on September 19. Four persons came and tried to abduct the said person, and claiming to “the commander UT1 NSCN (IM).” After a long “wrestle” and struggle he managed to escape from the miscreants’ car, a Maruti Zen bearing the number DL-6CB-5867.
He was saved because of the immediate intervention of the neighbors and colony and the miscreants fled, the colony said. The same group returned at around 10:20 PM in the same car but by that time the person had already left home for his safety, the union said.
Through efforts of the police, the union said, one of the miscreants, one Nissan Muna was arrested and is named as the main leader and culprit of the attempted crime.
The union has urged the police to arrest all the miscreants involved and award them befitting punishment. The miscreants should be seriously dealt with and punished, the union said. The Kutsapo Union has warned that no one should come forward and bail the culprit out so that the same crime would not be committed in future.
