Chümoukedima, February 15 (MExN): After closely trailing Peren on Day-III, Dimapur and Kohima have surged ahead in the medal tally table at the end of Day-IV of the ongoing Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 (NOPG 2024) on February 15.
Updates from the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) highlighted that Kohima is at the top with 34 medals, comprising 12 gold, 14 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Dimapur closely trailed behind with 29 medals, having the same number of gold but fewer silver medals than Kohima at 6. Dimapur has won 11 bronze medals so far.
Phek district, placed fourth on Day-III, also moved up one place on the leaderboard with 8 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
Consequently, the previous leader, Peren, has been relegated to fourth on Thursday with a total of 17 medals (8 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze).
Meanwhile, the district of Tseminyu also opened its account on Day-IV and moved from the bottom to the 9th position with 2 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.
The district of Zunheboto is yet to win any medals.
The NOPG 2024 officially kicked off on February 12 and will conclude proceedings on February 17.
