Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima held its first sports week from February 7 to 10. The inaugural session commenced with flag hoisting and torch lighting ceremonies, stated a press release. The students were divided into four houses- Aqua house, Ignis house, Terra house and Ventus house and competed in about 20 indoor and outdoor games. Two indigenous games- Bamboo stilt race and Greased bamboo pole climbing were introduced. The Ignis house emerged as champion of the first sports week of the college. The programme culminated with prize distribution and closing ceremony.
