Chümoukedima, October 22 (MExN): Norman Putsure College conducted its skill development class on horticulture and floriculture for the students at Sovima Campus on October 22.
According to a press release issued by the college administration, the college has two academic centers at Chümoukedima campus and Sovima campus for extracurricular activities.
This was aimed at providing the students with an access to a wide range of skills especially in floriculture, horticulture, fishery and bamboo handicraft, so as to gain knowledge for a sustainable livelihood in the future. All the students participated in hands-on experience of preparing the soil by tilting and mixing fertilizers, after which they planted the saplings. The students gained a lot of experiences and confidence for such activities in the future the press release added.
