Chümoukedima, February 6 (MExN): The Literature Club of Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima town organised a workshop on creative writing with Theyievinuo Whiso, the Managing Director of Training Lead of  Nagaland Institute of Language Studies and Research (NILSR) and an author meet and greet session with Wedekhro Naro on February 5 at the college Auditorium.

In the first session, Wedekhro Naro gave an insight into his three books and the recently released poetry book ‘Destined Apart’. All the four books according to Naro are a compilation of his personal experiences and encounters he has had thus far. “A Village Boy” is what he labeled himself and hence his choice of simple diction and writing style. The session ended with the author encouraging the young and inspiring adults to “not be afraid” of writing.

The second session Theyievino Whiso, the proprietor of Pine Press, not only imparted tips on starting a writing career but also shared her knowledge on publishing a book for the benefit of all. Whiso concluded the session by encouraging the students to “keep writing” and enhance their skills through practice and discipline.
