Norman Putsure College holds photography competition

Chümoukedima, August 20 (MExN): The Art Club of Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima organized a photography competition in commemoration of World Photography Day on August 19.

A press release from the college stated that Atsen Murry, Managing Director of Pixel Stories graced the occasion as special guest. He encouraged the students by sharing about his experiences. He stated that initially his interest was towards music but eventually he discovered his talent in photography and is now a professional photographer. Having been part of around 400 weddings as a photographer, he stated that photography is a good career choice.

“Our present generation should let go of the ‘hive mentality’ and should not follow the crowd. But instead discover one’s talents and choose suitable paths. He encouraged the students to have an eye for discovering the dire needs of the society and to turn it into an opportunity to benefit the society as well as the individuals,” he stated.

Murry emphasized on the importance of financial knowledge and also encouraged the students to start investing early. He motivated the students to spend at least one hour in a day to learn something new. He further enumerated basic photography tips to the students and also judged the photography competition. 

Shibu Majumdar was declared the winner of the competition. Bwenlo Mesung and Yanchang Y Chang bagged the second and third position respectively. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
