North East Philatelic Exhibition 2021 underway  

Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The Chief Postmaster General, North East Postal Circle in association with the North East Philatelic Society organized the first circle level online philatelic exhibition, North East Philatelic Exhibition (NEPEX) 2021 from January 28 to 31. 

A press release received here stated that 48 philatelists from six North East states- Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura participated in the exhibition and displayed varieties of postage stamps and stationeries on different themes. 

The exhibition, was inaugurated virtually by Pradipta Kumar Bisoi, Secretary to Government of India, Department of Posts in the presence of Prof DP Goyal, Director, IIM, Shillong, the Guest of Honour, S Mervin Alexander, Chief Postmaster General, T Mang Min Thang, Postmaster General, Sony Kamei, Postmaster General, Subash Chandra Barik, Director of Postal Services and other employees of the Department of Posts and Surnan Deb, General Secretary, North East Philatelic Society and other philatelists.

One special cover on NEPEX2021 was also released today in the inaugural function. The people can visit the exhibition at www.nepex2021.com

During the four days event, different programmes have been students from all over the six states of North East which include miniature art competition, speech writing competition, collage art using postage stamps, and an online quiz competition on philately.
