Pune, November 17 (MExN): Northeast students in Pune in collaboration with the Highway Security Police, Maharashtra under the guidance and direction of Vinay Kargaonkar, Addl DG, Highway Security Police, Maharashtra organized a traffic awareness program. Amol Tambe, Superintendent of Police (SP) briefed the students. The student campaigners highlighted on the importance of wearing seat belt, traffic rules and regulations’ and the safety measures while driving, a press release from NECOP informed. The participants carried placards on the streets on the need for road safety and fatality of accidents. SK Souriio Hitler, former President, Northeast community Organisation of Pune (NECOP) speaking on the occasion appealed to the public not only to learn driving but also to learn to follow traffic rule and regulations and wear seat belt at all time for the safety of all in the road.
