The Northern Angami Commercial Complex Building was inaugurated here at Northern Angami Colony, Kuda, on Wednesday with deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, as the chief guest.

The DC in his brief address lauded the Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO) for construction of the building and said the complex would prove to be an asset to NAPO and Nagas as a whole.

Stressing on the need to maintain cleanliness and hygienic environment in the commercial complex, Yhome urged NAPO to introduce solid waste management system in the complex including segregation of biodegradable wastes, which he said would set an example for other commercial complexes to emulate. He said in a fast growing city like Dimapur, disposal of wastes has become a huge problem.

The DC also urged NAPO to give preference to Nagas, especially educated unemployed youths, which he said would help mitigate the unemployment problem in the state.

NAPO president, Vilie-o Rutsa, delivered the welcome address and treasurer, NAPO, Kevisobei Ziephrü, presented a brief report on the construction of the commercial building. NAPO general secretary officiated the distribution of shares certificates to stakeholders including all villages under NAPO jurisdiction.

Vice president NAPO and convenor, NAPO building construction committee, Kelhousilie Sanchu, chaired the programme and NAPO executive committee member, Kechangulie Lhoungu, proposed vote of thanks.

Earlier, principal of Hope Institute of Theology, Zhao Sanchu, offered dedicatory prayer.
