The MWM has its connection with Nagaland through poet and author A Anato Swu whose first book ‘A Diamond of Dust’ was published through the same publishing house.
‘The Dancing Quill’ released
The launching of MWM in Nagaland also coincided with the launching of Indian edition of Anato’s second book titled, ‘The Dancing Quill’, which is a collection of poems. Anato described the book as “A book of a person deeply affected by drugs and alcohol who is no more capable of dancing but is still capable of dancing his spirit for the glory of the Lord.”
During the programme, the MWM also signed a contract/MoU with Pekingto, whose book titled, ‘The Lost Mission’ which is slated to be released in November. The book is about the Naga national workers who went to China during 1967-69.
Special Guest, James Swu expressed optimism that the coming of MWM to the state would open better opportunities for Naga writers to get exposed to the outside world. “Nagas have lots of diamonds (writing talents) but we need to be discovered and polished,” he remarked.
