‘Not backward but Aspiring District’

Kiphire DC recommends use of ‘Aspiring District’ tag in all office correspondence

The monthly DPDB meeting of Kiphire was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire with Mohammed Ali Shihab IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairmen DPDB chairing the programme.  

Emphasising on the “backward district” status in the country, the DC said, “By now on we shall not address our district as backward district but aspiring district as the district aspire to be one of the advance district in the country.”  

He asked the officers present not to take the tag of backward from now in any official correspondence but to use the tag Aspiring District in all correspondences and also asked all concerned department to take care of road, water and electricity for smooth conduct of the polls.  

Addressing the meeting, the DC said that election is round the corner and appealed to all the officers to be sincere so that election process is conducted smoothly. He added that as the District Election Officer in the district, he will not hesitate to take action for those officers who fail to perform their duty during election time.  

The DC also read out the pledge of the Chief Medical Officer and declared the district as Leprosy district.  

Imnalensa, IPS, SP appealed to the concerned officers to extend all possible help for the smooth polls and assured of any assistance from the institution for the same. The Medical and PWD department were also asked to make sure that the institution are ready as para military will be deployed in various location.  

The house welcomed District Horticultural officer, Executive engineer National Highway and District evaluation officer to the house.
