Kohima, January 19 (DIPR): Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Kohima, Kethosituo Sekhose has notified that in pursuance of the provisions given under sec 177 and sec 127 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and sec 34 of the Indian Police Act 1881, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has notified the following parking, no parking and rules for vehicular movement in the following area in addition to earlier notified areas/locations:-
1. Exit road from Naga Bazar to Razhu point:- No right turn for exiting vehicles coming up from Naga Bazar area. All such vehicles to turn left and proceed for Round-about or U- turn from Old Tata parking only.
2. Mini Buses to shift to the designated parking opposite Kezieke Market. In addition, all Tata Mobiles to shift to their designated parking at Rokabozou.
3. Razhu Point to Super Market is designated as no Parking on the left hand side.
4. Naro Ki Building to Phool Bari Police Point shall be converted into a two lane road.
Therefore, this area is designated as a No Parking zone on either side of the road.
These rules are hereby brought into force with immediate effect and any vehicle found in violation of these rules shall be towed away by the traffic police and the cost thereof along with resulting penalties shall be borne by the owner of the concerned vehicle.
Further, all concerned are informed that as and when checking is carried out, defaulters shall be penalized as per law and ignorance or non pre-information of the same shall not be considered as an excuse.
