Tuensang, March 22 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Tuensang Town Council (TTC), Thungchanbema Tungoe, NCS through a notification stated that an election is to be held for a member to ward No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 of TTC with ward No. 3, 6, 9, 12 & 15 reserved for women.
As per a DIPR report, the nomination paper be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to the ADC & RO, TTC or Arhonbeni Ezung, Extra Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer, TTC at the Office Chamber of ADC & RO between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on any day (other than public holiday) from April 3 (Monday) but not later than April 10 (Monday) upto 3:00 pm.
Forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid. The nomination paper will be taken up for scrutiny on April 12 and 13 (Wednesday & Thursday) at the Office of the ADC Hq. & RO TTC.
Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the Office specified in paragraph (2) above at his Office before 3.00 pm on April 24 (Monday) before 3:00 pm.
In the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on May 16 (Tuesday) between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
