Kohima | May 26 : A debut novel of S. Vinito Sema entitled “Kimishikulu Ghuju” (Successful Journey) was released here this evening at Hotel Japfu by K. Nihoto Chishi, secretary, Justice & Law, Government of Nagaland.
Speaking on the occasion, Chishi stressed on the need to promote Sumi literature and at the same time extended congratulation to author Vinito for bringing out such novel. He also encouraged others to give more importance on Sumi vernacular, adding that whatever they write book in small or big way will go a long way in promoting and preserving the mother tongue and also help encourage the young generation to acquaint themselves with their own dialect.
The function was chaired by Vixepu Swu, president, Sumi Aphuyemi Welfare, Kohima while Lhokiye Yeptho, general secretary Sumi Hoho Kohima exhorted the gathering. Nitoshe Zhimo, associate pastor SBCK and Himali Kiba, associate pastor, SABCK said invocation and benediction respectively.
