A press release from the NPC Chairman, Pedi Miachieo recalled the history of Naga political issue and said that its “heart and prayer” is with the Naga political groups.
“We sincerely appreciate their indomitable spirit and efforts to hammer out favourable settlement but also feel that they would have to be very cautious to take the right step for the coming generation,” the NPC, which was founded by Jaypralash Narayan in 1965, added.
The NPC further extended its “indebtedness to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for taking the Naga issue into confidence and opening the discussion for a permanent settlement.”
